
Carolina Coleslaw
North Carolina is known for its barbeque. We love it so much we even have an app where to find the best bbq. And you can’t eat it alone. Carolina is known for its many different recipes of coleslaw. There is creamy slaw, Asian slaw, milk slaw, vinegar slaw. I have tried them all and my favorite is just too simple to make. You don’t have to pull out the handy grater or marinate it overnight. It is another Sandra Lee moment. My mother would call me out on it. But I swear by this recipe and know once you try it, you will put it in your recipe book.

Semi Homemade ColeSlaw
Ingredients
- 1 pound of bag shredded coleslaw mix
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 TB sugar
- 2 TB apple cider
- 1 TB fresh parsley
- 3 green onion, finely chopped, save a little for the top of the coleslaw
- 1/4 cup of very fine chopped red pepper, and save a little on the top for garnishing
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Put coleslaw mix into a large bowl .
- In another blow, add mayonnaise, sugar and cider vinegar. Mix well to make a dressing . Pour the dressing into the coleslaw mix and combine. Add the parsley, green onions , red peppers, salt and pepper.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
