imageGiving……….Are you in debt? Did you make an commitment to pay by using credit ? What does the Bible say about this ? Ecclesiates 5:5  says It is better that you should not vow than that you should vow and not pay.  God is not an accountant, but the Bible says we should always pay our vows.  Our vows are our promise to others and God of our sincerity and character .

So if you cant pay your creditors and give to God, you should pay your creditors and honor that commitment. In most instances, you can do both, but it means making sacrifices. Believe that God will provide what you need if you make the commitment to do it.  Believing is making reality in your life.

Those who sincerely care about the needs of others give, according to their means, to help alleviate needs of others. They are the doers as described in James 1:22. Prove yourselves doers of the world and not merely hearers who delude themselves. Those who say they care but fail to back up their words with their money are the hearers who delude themselves.

John tells us to love not only in words but in truth and with deeds of giving. We are told that whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Let’s not love with word, but in deed and truth.  1 John 3: 17-18
